The NADE 2008 annual conference will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, February 27-March 1, 2008.


          LAANE, Learning Assistance Association of New England, was organized in 1983 and is an affiliate of the National Association of Developmental Education (NADE).

          LAANE membership is comprised of a broad spectrum of educators who work in the public and the private sectors of the six New England states: Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

          LAANE is a non-profit organization dedicated to the acceptance, advancement, and improvement of developmental education through research and practice.

          The Purpose of LAANE:
                    1) Promote the goals of developmental education; in conjunction                          with NADE
                    2) Act as a forum to exchange ideas and information with other                             educators
                    3) Provide learning and network opportunities through LAANE                               regional workshops scheduled throughout the year and an annual                    fall conference
                    4) Provide professional development

                    1) The LAANE newsletter published three times a year (winter, spring                   and fall)
                    2) Annual fall conference in New England
                    3) Local and state regional workshops
                    4) Board or committee involvement
